PRIMED: BFA Graphic Design Exhibition
On Friday (December 7) UNCC's BFA Graphic Design seniors exhibited their creative work and celebrated with friends, family, faculty and members of the Charlotte art/design community. The exhibition was held at the Hart Witzen Gallery in the NoDA arts district in Charlotte.

Angela Herren and Jim Frakes (Assistant Professors of Art History) both had session proposals accepted for the College Art Association 2009 Conference in Los Angeles.
Angela is co-chairing a session with Ruth Anne Phillips titled "Activating the Sacred: Ritual and Space in the Pre-Columbian Americas." Jim is co-chairing a session with Celeste Guichard titled "Armchair Cosmopolites and Worldly Travelers: The Dialogue Between Real and Vicarious Travel in the Greco-Roman World."

John Ford awarded residency at Atelier Imago
John Ford (Assistant Professor of Printmaking) was recently awarded a two-week residency at Atelier Imago in New Brunswick, Canada, for summer 2008. This residency covers all expenses, including travel. Way to go, John! Please send the department a postcard!
